After performing to millions of viewers with 2 appearances on NBC's 'Last Call' with Carson Daly, Goldheart Assembly returned to London for a headline show at the Scala theatre and to settle down into writing and recording their second album.

Their acclaimed debut album, 'Wolves And Thieves', was recorded over two weeks by the band in a steam engine museum in Norfolk. Assembling their collection of vintage mics, old guitars and even incorporating the sound of a 150 horsepower Vickers Armstrong pumping engine that was originally used to open Tower Bridge as a rhythm track, the band finished a beguilingly classic-sounding record that never falls into the easy trap of being too retro.

After the release of 'Wolves And Thieves' in March 2010, the band have spent the last year criss-crossing the UK, Europe and the US on tour, gradually playing to bigger and more appreciative crowds everywhere from huge stages at Glastonbury and Reading to tiny bars in Houston, Texas. As well as support tours with The Low Anthem, Black Mountain and We Are Scientists, Goldheart Assembly were handpicked as tour support by Band Of Horses on their most recent UK dates after the Seattle band heard them play at the Reading Festival and fell in love with Goldheart's harmonies and ramshackle choruses.

With wide ranging influences from 60s pop to US lo-fi and indie (their name inspired by the Guided By Voices track The Goldheart Mountaintop Queen Directory) Goldheart Assembly have proven difficult to pigeonhole but with their Beatle-esque melodies combined with the experimental tendencies of Tom Waits they have the depth and hooks to reach fans across the musical spectrum.

Goldheart Assembly are:

John Herbert (lead vocals, guitar)
James Dale (lead vocals, bass)
Nicky Francis (drums, BVs)
Jake Bowser (pianos, keyboards, BVs)
Kyle Hall (lead guitar)

"This London six-piece's life-affirming melodies will remind you why you fell in love with pop." The Guardian

"The way that Goldheart Assembly write a chorus that wouldn't sound out of place at midnight on the Pyramid Stage suggests this is a band with the whole world ahead of them." NME

"Such is the inherent sweetness of Goldheart Assembly's debut that the listener can't fail to be touched by its charms." BBC
