Martin Hopewell Agents Biography
16 Dec, 2011 blogMartin's first job as an agent was in 1972 after having been involved for two years in organising entertainment at Reading University. His first agency work came at the Noel Gay Organisation which was attempting to create a Rock and Roll division. When this was aborted, he was invited to join the Chrysalis Group in their agency division where he stayed through all its various incarnations: Chrysalis Agency, Cowbell Agency and eventually, World Service Agency.
During this time, Martin's clients included some of the most seminal artists of the time including The Jam, The Cure, The Eurythmics, The Pretenders, Fine Young Cannibals, Bronski Beat, The Style Council, The Sex Pistols and Marc Almond - as well as other projects as diverse as a West End musical and chamber orchestra.
In 1999 Martin was inducted to the 'British Music Roll of Honour'. In the same year he was elected to the council of the Agents Association of Great Britain and is currently a member of the government-led initiative, the Live Music Forum. Besides his work at Primary he also coordinates the activities of the International Live Music Conference throughout the year.

The Cure: 'Reflections' Seven Final Performances
27 Sep, 2011 newsDue to overwhelming demand The Cure's 'Reflections' show - first experienced in the spring of 2011 at the Vivid Festival in Sydney - will be performed seven more times in November 2011.
'Reflections' sees an evolving line up of band members past and present playing the first three Cure albums live in their entirety - from the punchy, offbeat, starkly unadorned songs of 'Three Imaginary Boys' (1979), through the increasingly shadowy and quixotic pieces of 'Seventeen Seconds' (1980), to the singular melancholic grandeur of 'Faith' (1981) - in a truly extraordinary concert experience.
This final chance to experience the 'Reflections' show will happen in Europe at the Royal Albert Hall, London on Tuesday November 15th, and in the USA at the Pantages Theatre, LA on Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd, and at the Beacon Theatre, NYC on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th.
Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall, London show go on-sale Friday 30th September 2011 at 9am local time and are available from the 24 hour ticket hotline: www.bookingsdirect.com.
