Following the release of their highly acclaimed debut album, 'Dystopia', Midnight Juggernauts shift the focus to album number two with the release of their new single 'This New Technology'.
An epic journey through time and the afterlife, 'This New Technology' refuses to travel along the straight and narrow. Instead the track moves through 70s pop to Morricone soundscapes, dark driving toms to lush washed out jams, lo-fi to hi-fi, progrock to krautrock, Eno to ecstasy, the Roses to Rafferty...it's pop but not as you know it. Produced by Midnight Juggernauts, the track was recorded at Melbourne's Sing Sing Studios by Christopher Moore (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Liars) and mixed by Andy Baldwin.
Its release coincides with a national headline tour by Midnight Juggernauts across Australia during October and November, appearances at the CMJ Music Festival in New York, and a number of festival appearances over the Australian summer including Homebake, The Falls Festivals, and Big Day Out.
Since the 2007 release of 'Dystopia', Midnight Juggernauts have built a rock-solid live reputation globally playing some of the world's finest festivals such as Glastonbury (UK), Coachella (USA), Fuji Rock (Japan), Primavera (Spain), Meredith and the Big Day Out.
'This New Technology' is now available through iTunes along with inspired remixes by Nile Delta (Australia) and Memory Tapes (USA). Known for creating expansive sound-scapes with hypnotic vocals, expect the most thrilling journey yet from Midnight Juggernauts when their new album drops early 2010.
