Billy Vincent: New Album 'She'
20 Mar, 2012 newsLondon quintet Billy Vincent release their debut album 'She' on May 7th through Something Nothing records, following on from their critically acclaimed EPs - 'King Island Coyote' and 'Once On The Grand Union'.
Taking the listener on a journey through the vast musical spectrum that shapes the band's influences - from classic rock through to folk and even a touch of country - 'She' is still an album that unquestionably showcases the distinct, signature sound that could only be that of Billy Vincent.
Fronted by long-time cohorts and best mates Billy Barratt and David Vincent, who together began playing music from their time at infants' school, Billy Vincent create visceral melodies that veer from the sprightliness of opening tracks 'Dead Man's Shoes' and 'And It Fights', to the boyish boisterousness of 'The Wayward Fall In Line' and 'Pirates' and through to the harrowing poignancy of '4, 5, 6' and recent single 'Bottle Top'.
'She' is an inspired collection of tales, expertly crafted and delivered with an intense passion and assured confidence. The album's variety and inventive amalgamation of genre's reflects the bands true musicality, creating a satisfying, yet unpredictable record.
"A band who've hit their stride in an assured and superb manner" - Artrocker

THEESatisfaction Announce Sub Pop Debut awE naturalE out on April 9thTHEESatisfaction are Stasia Irons and Catherine Harris-White. Stas was born and raised in Tacoma, Cat in Seattle and Hawaii. The pair live/laugh/love/dance and create in Seattle, WA. They write, produce and perform their own material, funk-psychedelic feminista sci-fi epics with the warmth and depth of Black Jazz and Sunday morning soul, frosted with icy raps that evoke equal parts Elaine Brown, Ursula Rucker and Q-Tip. They met by what was clearly cosmic happenstance at the University of Washington and haven’t stopped the flow since.
